A Change Pakistan Needs !

PAKISTAN-CLOCKS/By Aly S. 14th August 1947, Pakistan came into being on the World map. Pakistan, it was not easy to achieve, dead bodies and bloodshed were bartered for Pakistan. Quaid e Azam had great expectations, and one of his expectation was Pakistan. His expectation Pakistan, later transformed to a ‘ Prosperous Pakistan ‘ , he really wanted the People of  Pakistan to rule and take care of the country for which their brothers and sisters got slaughtered. But, unfortunately he passed away, may Almighty Allah bless him in the Hereafter. Truth really is bitter, but, if Jinnah would have been alive till today, he would have passed away because of the situation of Pakistan.

2009, after 62 years, there has been no single transformation towards a Prosperous Pakistan. Quaid e Azam wanted the people to rule, but his wish has not yet met the Gennie to come true. This government and also the previous ones claim to be a democratic one, and no doubt they are a democratic one as far as the votes are concerned. Once elected, cabinet formed, Ministries distributed(like gifts) then no one cares about the ones who brought them in the offices. Infact, the MNAs and MPAs don’t even know whats happening in their constituencies.

Pakistan has been ruled by either Army(Dictator) or two or three FAMILIES. The seats have kept on rolling among them or may be they have kept rolling around the seat like a ’Musical Chair’. Once a government is formed, then later a Government is under the ‘UNIFORM’

The point that has to be considered is that, Pakistan has gone through several tenures ending up 62 years but still a simple Pakistani is not relieved.

From my point of view this whole problem just revolves around one deficiency in the government. This deficiency is that no single Parliamentarian or Minister is from a lower middle class or middle class. Every single politician is from the elite, or the super elite class.

These people were living in huge bungalows, or castles even before being a part of the establishment, this makes clear that they can NEVER KNOW THE PROBLEMS THAT ARE FACED BY A NORMAL PAKISTANI from the lower or middle class. A Pakistani belonging to a normal family cant even think of participating in the general elections for ‘ restoring democracy ‘, no one can afford to buy the party tickets for being an MNA or MPA, or if they stand as an independent then cant bear the huge expenses of the campaign.

Now coming towards the solution. This might sound a bit un logical and childish, but I think that if the elections are to be free and fair then the elections should not party based. Secondly, eligibility for participating in elections should be on education basis rather than clan name basis.

This Pakistan is for each and every Pakistani, this soil was not partitioned for only MAgsis, Bugtis, Bhuttos, Zardaris, Sharifs and etc.

I hope that Quaid’s wish soon finds a Gennie and comes true, so that the Government of Pakistan is really by the Pakistanis, for the Pakistanis and from the Pakistanis !!
