Aamir Ibrahim has been appointed as the new CEO of Mobilink after the complete merger transaction of Mobilink and Warid Telecom. He will replace the current CEO Jeffrey Helberg. Earlier he was the Chief Commercial Officer and Deputy CEO of Mobilink.
Jeffrey Helberg message on this occasion was,
“I am extremely excited to announce that today we have received all the required regulatory approvals to merge Mobilink and Warid businesses. Personally, it has been an exciting and rewarding journey. I am grateful to my team for working tirelessly through this process.”
Jeffrey Hedberg joined Mobilink two years ago. He turned the organization around, to drive growth in profit, earnings and market share. It has been, a very exciting and valuable journey for him, both professionally and personally.
The merger of Mobilink and Warid was signed back in November, 2015 by the parent companies of both operators. After all the approvals, Warid is now a subsidiary of Mobilink. The next step of Mobilink will be to work over to get the legal approval from Islamabad High Court about the merger. The full integration may take almost 18 months.
