Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan has resigned from his post as Attorney General of Pakistan over non-cooperative attitude of Law Minister Babar Awan.

He pointed out that since he assumed the office of Attorney General, the Law Minister and Law Ministry did not cooperate with him and that he apprised President Asif Ali Zardari of this issue but the latter could not address his concerns.

AG Anwar Mansoor blamed Law Minister Babar Awan and his ministry for the snag behind attempts in completing legal procedures for sending letters to Swiss authorities for reopening of cases involving President Asif Ali Zardari.

He was of the view that Law Ministry was not providing him the relevant documents which he needed for the pursuance of the cases. “I have been insisting since day one that letters must be written to Swiss authorities for reopening of money laundering cases.”

Outgoing AG Mansoor told media men that non-compliance of SC’s verdict aginst NRO was creating crisis.

He mentioned that President enjoys immunity and there is no need to go to court for interpretation, as it is very apparent in Article 248, which says: “No criminal proceedings whatsoever shall be instituted or continued against the President or a Governor in any court during his term of office.”

This Attorney General “Anwar Mansoor” wrote a letter to open the swiss case.. which validates that Attorney General has right to make request to Open or Close cases.. and by this example CJ Chuadhry Iftikhar Hussain “Order” to prosecute/punish previous Attorney General Abdul Qayum has no grounds…
It also validate that Pakistan has “Judicial Dicatorship” — I hope some general takes steps and clean all this garbage from our Judicial system.. It has only one purpose to provide enough support for Nawaz Sharif to bring down its enemies. also keep in mind in one week this Dictor Iftikhar Chaudhry cleaned-up all cases for Nawaz Sharif and his Family in Supreme court.. This CJ Dictor Iftikhar Chaudhry should work as pimp at heera mandi as that is place belongs to these types of peoples and not the Supreme Court

Nawaz and Zardari- both are Thieves and dacoits.. This supreme court is playing political/judicial games for $60 millions which is nothing… both have made $Billions from thsi country and by paying attention to this tiny $60 millions and getting it back will give them certificate for ending corruption and by that virtue both Zardari and Nawaz will look forward with Money they stole from Pakistan as ligitmate as so called “stolen money” in swiss bank will be returned both thieves will chip-in 50% ($30 millions) .. this Nation will be fooled again.. CJ Iftikhar Chaudhry (Judicial Dictator) should be hanged in Islamabd Main Chok.. But it will nto happen as nazawz has already baught.. GEO team like Hamid Mir, Irfan Siddiqui, Ansar Abbasi and list goes on and on… GEO is the boggest propaganda machine and one day peoples will realize that

I think even though both Zardari and Nawaz are corrupt but CJ Iftikhar Chaudhry is doing the right thing by setting an example, it never happen before in Pakistan’s histry and I am delighted to see all defaulters face charges against them, I also appreciate the role of media by highlighting these issues.
