Breaking News: Blast Outside Danish Embassy in Islamabad

by Sameer on June 3, 2008

News channels around the nation are giving breaking news right now of (at least) eight people dead and several wounded in a possible suicide attack right outside the Danish embassy in the Islamabad.

Various reports are pouring in and there is still some speculation whether it was yet another suicide attack on Pakistani soil or a pre-planted bomb. Unnamed police sources have however told the news channels that a suicide bomber driving a car was responsible for the blast. The car is said to be loaded with 15kg of explosives and exploded in the car parl leaving a huge crater and shattering windows of adjacent cars.

So far eight people have been confirmed dead and no one has taken responsibility of the attack but it is most likely an act of vengance for the cartoons published in Denmark.

More to come on this as details come in.
