Difference of opinion with PMLN on mode of Musharraf’s trial says Gilani

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that PPP and PML-N are equal victims and sufferers of the dictatorship of Pervez Musharraf.

Talking to media at the residence of Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Sardar Aseff Ahmed Ali in Kachhi Kothi area here Sunday, he said both the parties and their leadership faced exile and hardships in jails for long years.

To a question, he said, nothing has so far been agreed between PPP and PML-N on the trial of former President Pervez Musharraf. Though both have same feelings in this regard, there can be a difference of opinion on the mode and procedure of his trial, he added.

The Prime Minister said, “We have very good relations with PML-N from the day one, and we are friends and brothers.

I am constantly in touch with President Asif Ali Zardari, Punjab Chief Minister as well as PML-N leadership on all important issues including the sugar crisis.”

Responding to a question, Gilani said, the government has recently taken decision on the sugar issue, which will soon be streamlined and people will have no problems in this regard.

The terrorists are fast losing their strength and will soon be eliminated from the country, he responded to a questioner.

To another question, he observed that present government is a democratic government and there is no minus one formula in the democracy.
