Five killed in Kohat Police Line Colony explosion

KOHAT: An explosion struck Kohat Police Line Colony at Hangu Road on Tuesday, killing five people including two children and wounding 30 other, Geo News reported.

Our correspondent told anchorperson that the blast was of high intensity and more casualties were feared.

More than half of the houses of the colony have been damaged by the blast. The law enforcement personnel have cordoned off entire area. Rescue teams and ambulances have reached the spot.

Nature of the blast was not known but Commissioner Kohat Khalid Khan told Geo that it might be a planted bomb device.
