How I Can Turn Off the Digg Toolbar Forever

by 06ahmed on December 2, 2009

in Internet

Digg.com have recently started a url shortening service along with a digg tool bar . As I wrote in my early post it is a vey useful toolbar as it have many important features like its sharing feature with your friend on facebook, twitter etc. It is basically a virtual tool bar which stay as a frame and does not install itself to your browser.

Although over all diggbar is not bad but you may decide to remove this forever as

1.) it may be occupying some space in your browser windows.

2.) As it use iframes so any time you click any external link on the website under diggbar the url in your browser title bar does not change and you still see the same digg short url.

3.) Depending on your internet speed it may slowdown your download and browsing experience.

There may be some other concerns i.e about privacy , cookies etc.  Well it does not matter whatsoever is the reason you can easily disable your diggbar.

Login to your diggbar account and visit the setting page , here you can disable diggbar for all the external links . No worries if you have no account to digg.com then just click here and follow the instructions below.

1. Click on the small angle linke “V” pointing downward near the close “X” button

2. You will see the tool bar will expand and will give you an option to turn it of forever.
