How to Search and Replace with Vi Text Editor

First of all open your text file in VI
press ESC key
press : key
Now type %s
After this you will have a search and replace pattren seprated by a /
Here is how command look like
:%s/this/that/
So this command with replace this with that
The g flag is used to search and replace on multiple occasions
:%s/this/that/g
