How to update locate database for Mac Os X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Over the time one may find that
locate
command in the terminal is not finding the files which you want to locate then there is a need to update the database for locate command.
Here is a option for this
just type this command in you terminal and it will take some time to update your locate database
sudo /usr/libexec/locate.updatedb
