Dear sir,
after great reverence and respect, your attention has been drawn towards the accident.it is to inform your honour that the ship Dannyf ii (Live stock Transporter) was sailing from Montevideo, Uruguay, to Tartarus, Syria carrying six passenger,77 crew ,10,224 sheep and 17,932 head of cattle.11 nautical miles (20km) from Tripoli, lebanon, for the purpose of cleanliness of the ship, the ship was over lapsed , and thus just in the record time of 30 minutes the ship was drowned at 14:30, 17 dec 2009. all the crew, having no assistance to survice, drowned in the sea waves.
most of the ctrew members belonged to Tehsil kabal, distt: swat NWFP pakistan.14 dead bodies where retrived, 19 survived wahil 16 ship
members are still missing.
the families of the dead and missing are suffering in incurable tension and each moment for them is like the moment spent on Day of jugment.
Neither any shipping corporation nor the Govt of pakistan presented the sympathies with the bereave familes. no information where shared with them.no one came for the condolence .the countries near the accident violated the sea rules and not presented in time rescue assistance and thus caused the death of so many people.neither the Governament of pakistan contacted the same countries in neither this regard nor any other shipping corporation nearby 15 km from the coast of lebnon.
it is said that dead bodies of the missing people or they alive, are present in israel.
but any how no one has accepted the responsibilty for this statement. According to the superintendent Mr. Richard Thomas and owner of the Navain saleem fro Egypt of the same ship company, at present 4 dead bodies are in sayria and 2 dead bodies are in Turkey. the same statement was confirmed by the international Red Cross. but it is regretted to state that so far Govt. pakistan or any shipping company has not identified the dead bodies. while the same has been confirm by the (ICRC) According to the crew this ship not sunk incidentally but it was sunk intentionally, because this ship was expired and was marked for the scrip. in the ship no Fire Drill and Board drill where not arranged. the aim of the company higer authorities was to make claim of this old ship from the insurance company of a new ship. so intentionally the same ship was lapsed in 35 dgree instead of .5 resulting loading of thousend of animals who slipped to a side and the ship sunk within a record less time of 30 minutes.
the high ranking officers including tendil Mr. Muhammad aleem of the ship intentionally did not give emergncy signal and nor the crew was appointed on life saving duty, but the rouine duty was assigned to the crew.
According to the superintendent of the company Richard Thams and owner navin saleem (Egyptian) deputed a worker Mr Rashid awan to swat to collect the samples of the affected persons for DNA test. but when Mr.Rashid awan reached to swat and started balck mailing of the affected families, he gave the greedy of us dollors 19,000 the relatives of missing and dead persons which is against the I.T.F and panama flag rules.
shortly this ship was register with panama flag and was insured with the international Transporter Feedration.
so demand:
1. that the honourable chif justice of pakistan should take
suemoto action in this case.
2. missing 16 Pakistani may be recovered and DNA test of six
dead bodies may be arranged.
3. the affected families may be granted full legitimate rights
according to the ITF and panama flag rulrs and regulations.
4. the outstanding salaries of the crew may be granted to the
affected families.
5. Rashid Awan, muhamad aleem tandil and usman farooq who
took Rs.2,20,000/- from each crew as security may be
refunded to the affected families.
6. one family member of the affected crew may be taken in job.
