KA operation: Lashkar-e-Islam, Ansar-ul-Islam hideouts destroyed

BARA: Khyber Agency operation continues, while FC fresh contingents in 20 vehicles arrived here. The Taliban have announced to suspend peace talks with the government.

Security forces have re-occupied Shalobar and Akakhel area in Tehsil Bara, while the fighting continues for obtaining control of other areas. Sources said that following taking full control of the Shalobar and Akakhel areas in Tehsil Bara of Khyber Agency, security forces have destroyed all the key-points and private jails of Tanzeem Lashkar-e-Islam. Security forces widening the area of its operation have started moving forward towards Tehsil Bara and other places.

In the wake of security forces moving forward several kilometers ahead of Bara Bazar, curfew in Bara Bazar has been relaxed unannounced. Local people were seen going to Peshawar through Bara Bazar road.

Security has also been tightened at Landi Kotal and Jamrud, the other two Tehsils of Khyber Agency in view of Army operation at Bara. Security has also been upped at Pak-Afghan border Torkham.
