Chair APL (Association of Pakistani Lawyers) in UK and legal aide to Sharifs Barrister Amjad Malik has condemned (Retd) General Pervez Musharraf’s personal attack on ‘N’ league leader former premier Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif linking him with the death of former Military Chief General Asif Nawaz Janjua.

Barrister Amjad Malik said that these frivolous and malicious statements are not befitting to the position of former Chief of Army staff which General Musharraf held for nine years. If he could have set up an enquiry or a commission whilst he was all in all, that would have been understandable, it’s all malicious oratory confined to anti Nawaz statements now which has no relevance to Pakistani politics, and does not even deserve comments from the leadership.

Barrister Amjad Malik said that reality is that General Musharraf captured power on 12 October 1999 to rid Pakistan of corrupt politicians , and left for self exile in 2009 issuing NRO pardoning billions of corruption without authority and against the will of the people, and now he is condemning the corruption, when he is just like a used cartridge having used all his arrows and has nothing to offer except eternal repentance which is his asset.

Barrister Amjad Malik said that former military commander must revisit his deeds and be left on his condition of ‘Nawaz phobia’ to him which is untreatable, and his statements are not only irrelevant but are not even worth responding. He is issuing statements in order to please someone in power seeking comments from Nawaz Sharif who is consistently ignoring him considering him useless and irrelevant for Pakistan’s future and its politics. If General is interested in seeking answers, and Pakistani politics, he must visit Pakistan where he can responded accordingly.
