Rashid Quraishi,
This is with reference to my application to my Local MP regarding assistance for justice and the subsequent communication between you and a representative of the British Parliament.
My case has been projected by the independent media on several platforms and the entire facts are also available under ‘The NAB Diaries’ at www.teeth.com.pk
The facts are that my Organisation which was the largest IT Group of companies in Pakistan was taken over by my partners namely the mutual fund managed by the serving pilots of PIA with the help of a corrupt General namely Munir Hafeez who was the Chairman NAB at the time. This was done through NAB which did not have any jurisdiction over the matter since public, government or bank funds were not involved. In short, Munir Hafeez used the NAB platform to indulge in corruption for his own benefit and that of his personal pilot friends who also caused their own pilot community to lose millions of dollars.
The methods that were used are a typical example of corruption by the army generals in Pakistan. I was threatened to not ask for justice or my assets otherwise I would disappear like many others, I was interrogated and tortured at the NAB offices and my name was put on the ECL, and I was also not allowed to meet my wife and daughters for three years who are British nationals as well and who managed to escape to Britain.
Several false cases were initiated against me by NAB over the years but I was never taken to a court of law and was also threatened of dire consequences if I approached any civil court – but after all those years NAB allowed me to come to London once NAB realised that I hardly had any heart beat left and was in no position to claim my assets or seek justice. NAB then also dropped all the cases against me. Consequently, I travelled to London and was granted Humanitarian Protection by the British government since I had given my wife and daughters the Pakistani nationality but had never applied for the British nationality myself…
Since then all appeals for justice have failed in spite of an e-mail by Pervaiz Musharraf that he will look into the matter and a telephone call by Maleeha Lodhi expressing her regrets.
And now you Rashid Quraishi have suggested to the representative of the British parliament that I should come back to Pakistan and file cases against the scoundrels that have done this to me and my family knowing well that NAB or a General cannot be brought to a court of law in Pakistan… and when perhaps your motive now is to do what you regret not having done earlier and that is to have me removed from the scene as you have done to many and which will happen as soon as I land in your lawless clutches once again…
You also said to the British parliament representative, obviously to raise doubts in her mind, that there is always another side of the story as well… and you are right there always is… and this is the one… for the other side of the story you mentioned had already been heard and which resulted in my illegal persecution… NAB did interrogate me for three years – they had their chance, why did they let me go, why did they drop the cases against me – and if I was innocent then who will compensate for what has been done to me…
My question to you is that how can a common man make corrupt Generals like you accountable? That how much more will you disgrace the Pakistan Army uniform… that what moral authority do you or Pervaiz Musharraf have to yet stay in office when you cannot provide justice while on the other hand Pervaiz Musharaff assumes a ‘Waheed Murad’ style with dewy eyes in front of the foreign media to make claims at sincerity, justice and the rest of the cock and bull story that he has mastered over the years in order to keep sucking the blood of the common man…?
Rashid Quraishi – shame on you…
(This mail is also being sent to the local & foreign media with the hope that it will be published. Additionally, it is also being sent to writers, thinkers, and leaders of people around the world with the hope that they will circulate it as much as possible. To some it may seem as a case that concerns an individual only – and this is where the problem lies… there are hundreds and thousands of individuals like me – if these Generals are not made accountable by the common man then they will continue to stay in their roles as parasites and scavengers and will also compromise the image of the Pakistan Army – leave aside a nation of 170 million individuals.)
