PKNIC is Down .pk owners under pressure
by Sameer on June 3, 2008
.pk domains owners are under severe pressure as pknic the so called .pk registry is down since last more than 30 hours.
.pk domain owners are unable to check ownership and registry records of their own domains. Now one is able to register a new domain.
.pk registry data itself is not safe.

PKNIC is still not available.
PKNIC’s server was located in The Planet H1 DC, which caught fire last Saturday. They are still down.
This is highly un-professional for a Domain Registry for a whole country to only have one server and no DR / backup plans.
This matter should be taken seriously and if they are in-competent they should be replaced.
Hello All,
I know this is an old thread, but it seems whenever our website is unavailable, then PKNIC is also unavailable, which happens every other day for about half an hour. Do other users face similar issues? Is it possible for us to not renew our registration through PKNIC?
