PTCL going to Introduce ‘Life Line’ Banquet in Near Future

PTCL have planned to introduced a banquet services for its subscribers. Similar  service are already avilable for the corporate users, in the name of “Life Line”. This sevices offered will include information about  security, entertainment, infotainment and DSL internet.
The SEVP PTCL Commercial Naveed Saeed,  in an interview with daily nation expressed his views about this service

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Telecom Company Limited (PTCL) has already renovated 50 per cent of the end to end (exchange to user) network while completion of this project would ensure state-of-the-art quality service.
Naveed Saeed, SEVP Commercial, PTCL, stated this during an exclusive interview with TheNation/Nawa-I-Waqt here on Friday.
He said that the company has been meeting the PTA’s key performance indicators (KPI) especially with reference to the quality of service.
According to the SEVP, the primary network that is from the exchange to the main cabinets is already on the optic fibre lines while the secondary network onward up to the end user was still on copper wire.
As for the renovation of the secondary network, he said, that the PTCL has been opting for the latest technology called the ONU (optical network unit). He mentioned that the ONU was a stand-alone unit and it requires high power battery.
Asked about future offers by the PTCL, he said, that the company has been preparing for offering a bouquet of services in the coming days that it had already launched for corporate consumers so far. The bouquet that would be called the ‘Life Line’ would include security, entertainment, infotainment, and high DSL Internet.
