This review will be useful for many blogger and website owners how are interested in finding some good alternate to the AdSense. If you search other contextual advertisement system so may come across a so called website clicksor . I have made a account with them last month. The first apparent thing I like with this that I have a account manager who will assist me of any problem. In my case I was assigned somebody known as Amy,
I was very happy making my account (getting approved) with clicksor initially and tried to generate a code for 468 x 60 pixel the ad I selected was only a text and image ad. I did not selected any other option.
I inserted the code in my blog and found that in line text advertisement is also activated without my choice or without me opting for it, I sent an email to my account manager.
Just after few hours I received the reply,

After looking at my ad code I realized it was already “clicksor_enable_text_link = false†but even then it was displaying inline text link. Anyhow it was disabled after about an hour.
Few days after clicksor tried to installed some malicious code on my website visitors and my website get stuck in browser ( an enormous increase in downtime) and after spending a lot of time to troubleshoot and bug fixing I found that just by removing the clicksor code website become normal again and its downtime came back to normal. I reported the matter to clicksor and got these two emails in reply.

After receiving this email I tried once again with clicksor and started displaying their ads on my site. But yesterday (28 April 2009) they once again tried to install a malicious code via their advertisement. Now I have permanently removed their ads and will not trust them any more.
Here is a copy of email communication on this
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is 2nd time your ads code jammed my site, Now once gain I had to
remove your ad code and site work fine. I can easily see in the
browser status bar that when it is loading ads from your partner or
your server it get stuck and browser crash. You can not imagine how
much this has added to a bad repute for my site as this is 2nd time in
a month.
Anyhow I am no longer interested in such poor quality of services.

But How I can trust them again, No and never,

Hi Publisher,
According to your posting, our Clicksor Rep has been assisting you and replying your tickets/emails to resolve the problems. In regards to the inline text link, we have actually stated in the “Support†area of Clicksor Publisher Member area:
1) Inline Text Link
Publishers can manually disable the text links by changing the line of ad code
‘clicksor_enable_text_link = true’
to
‘clicksor_enable_text_link = false’
Please also contact our publisher representative to have the inline text link option removed from your site.
2) IE Problem
Based on the correspondence that you had with Amy (Clicksor Rep), she has tried hard to provide full customer support by following up with IT Dept to fix the IE problem. Since each of the website is using unique script, coding, our IT would require the collaboration from our publishers in providing needed info to test the ad code and locate the actual problem.
As you may know, the different script writing could cause some conflicts and therefore, we have our IT Dept to assist us in resolving the problems for our publishers. It is recommended to resolve the problems for your website in order to maximize your monetizing opportunities. However, you have chosen to remove our ad code and we are not able to locate the actual problem for you.
3) Malicious Ad
This could be due to a violated ad campaign that uses our network to deliver malicious ad. We would need the Ad URL, Visitor’s IP address, or time and date to locate the advertisement and suspend it immediately. If you have the data, please provide them to us as soon as possible.
Dear Clicksor Staff,
1) I have mentioned that clicksor_enable_text_link = false was already set to false even then you were displaying inlink ads without my permission. See the emails record above in the post.
2) What should I do with your so called support if you are actually spreading malicious codes and browser hijacks in your advertisements.
3) Infact you have admitted “This could be due to a violated ad campaign that uses our network to deliver malicious ad.” shame on you clicksor that you are promoting malicious codes.
Suspension ? Haas lame excuse why you allow malicious code in the first instance ? Are you aware of any resulting loss due to your malicious ads?
Shame Shame Shame, I am never ever going to use your services nor I recommend any body.
I never knew that clicksor would so such kind of behaviour.
