SFCC recommendations on PTCL employees’ issue ready

ISLAMABAD: Special Federal Cabinet Committee (SFCC) has formulated its recommendations on PTCL employees’ issue.

Federal ministers Syed Khurshid Shah, Syed Naveed Qamar, Qamar Zaman Kaira, interior secretary, Kamal Shah, high officials of Islamabad police, administration and Rangers attended the meeting held here.

Following the meeting, In-charge Minister Communications, Qamar Zaman Kaira told the media that the cabinet committee has prepared the recommendations relating to PTCL employees. PTCL management was mulling over the employees’ issues and the reasons behind the dispute between workers and management was being reviewed, he added. Responding to a question, he said that Rangers’ mishandling was not intentional. He said that the Govt. still owns 79 percent shares in PTCL and therefore, we have reservations.
