AShakil Awan, candidate of Pakistan Muslim League-N, is on way to a
clear victory in today’s by-election in NA-55, unofficial results
received from majority of the polling stations indicate.

Vote
count started following the completion of polling for by-election in
NA-55 constituency here amid cries of foul play by Chief of Awami
Muslim League, Sheikh Rashid.

Shakil Awan was in lead right from
receipt of the initial results (unofficial). His lead against Sheikh
Rashid grew more and more as results continued to pour in.

During
the day a couple of incidents of scuffle were reported. However, the
overall law and order situation remained satisfactory.

Pakistan
Muslim League-N in reaction to Sheikh Rashid’s allegations of rigging
said the latter is raising hue and cry as a way of face saving in view
of his defeat in sight.

Early morning rain in the city
affected the polling arrangements but later voters starting coming out
as clouds started to clear the sky. The turnout grew with time and
picked momentum towards the end of polling hours.

The overall
situation remained peaceful throughout the polling except for a few
separate incidents of fights reported during the day.

Blaming
the state machinery for alleged rigging, Sheikh Rashid said PML-N may
go ahead and do whatever it wants, he will prove himself a tough
competition.

Meanwhile, Jamat-e-Islam candidate Dr. Kamal
expressed satisfaction on the election process and advised Sheikh
Rashid to come forward with evidence of the alleged rigging.

There was no comparison between Sh Rashid & Shakeel Awan. Sh Rashid was alone, whereas his opponent belongs to the biggest opposition party member. The whole machinery of Punjab Govt was in action to support Shakeel. Moreover just before election the meeting between Nawaz Shareef & Yousuf Raza Gillani shows a conspiracy against Sh Rashid’s defeat in election. Sh Rashid has been traped by dirty politics of PML’Q, who apparently showed their support to Sh Rashid but from inside they were totally against him, same situation was with PPP, they also played dirty politics role with Sh Rashid. In other words Sh Rashid was completely alone and his opponent were PML’N.PML’Q and PPP of Zardari, in this situation only ANGELS can win the election, of course there were some mistakes done by Sh Rashid and for that mistakes he suffered in this election. The real culprits in this election are Ch Brothers who did all evil mistakes with Musharaf Govt, but the poor chap Sh Rashid become the target in this election. The slogan from PML’N that Ali Baba left but 40 thieves still remain, Sh Rashid is only one member of Alibaba group but the remaining 39 thieves still in Pakistan and enjoying their dirty politics. How ever we should not forget and ignore the good works done by Sh Rashid in Rawalpindi, specially in education sector.Sh Rashid has an open and free mouth. He never hesitate to speak the truth & reality, that’s why the corrupt National Assembly Members were afraid of him. They were all afraid whether sitting on Govt benches or opposition benches from Sh Rashid because he always show mirrior to such corrupt political members even in the assembly. Mistakes are always done by human beings, but if some one rectify it, then we must give him another chance, but the nation again done another mistake in defeating Sh Rashid in this election. Sh Rashid is not a looser in this election but he is a winner. Well done Sh Rashid once again you are the winner, keep it, be strong, you have future in this country. Keep on trying to take Pakistan from these thieves & traitors.
