Zardari

Different ministries and departments of the Govt. of Pakistan spending huge sum of of money to advertise meaningless in all the premiere news papers of Pakistan to face lift Zardari and Company at the expense of public suffering from a massive shortage of daily commodities. People are struggling for their daily food needs. One have to spend almost a whole day in a long Que waiting for their turn to get few KGs of Floor, Sugar and other daily needs.

Interestingly Mr. Zardari is totally indifferent to these issues.

Why Public Money is Being Spent on the Zardrai Face Lifting?

Why money is being spent on Bilawal Bhutto? He is no more a part of Govt. He has no portfolio or office in the Govt of Pakistan. He is just an ordinary Pakistani citizen. Why Govt. of Pakistan money is being spent on PPP Chairman and co-Chairman?

Most of these are old advertisements. Advertisements are also the part of politics nowadays. This article is a conspiracy for destabilizing the PPP government or for acqquiring some personal benefits from the government’s high profile persons. But the President Asif Ali Zardari doesn’t care of such articles. Yes, he can provide some financial benefit to the artical writer. The government has not passed its even half of the tenure. Such articals should appear at least after passage of 75% period of the government tenure. I hate such articals when stable governement is needed in Pakistan after the recent elimination of Talibans from Pakistan.

faisalrafique September 10, 2009 at 3:33 pm

@MassodBazmi Zardari is feeling insecure so he is running this kind of useless compaign. This man doesnt care about country, he says thay he wouldnt interfere in matters for solving of suger and electricity crises, when he has tyo intefere even he interfers every where, he is organising PPPs party meetings in presendial house on governments money problems. He is curse on pakistan.

a.gowher September 10, 2009 at 6:18 pm

Who else, it is you and me paying. These crooks our so called leaders are making fun us, Zardari is enjoying being a celebrity making foreign trip spending Millions, Gillani giving out Millions to build housing for Lawyers , a stunt to keep them happy. Nawaz Sharif spends 35 Lakhs a day while public is dying of hunger.
Time for a revolution.

When pakistanies are without any feelings for country and not having any conscience. They should suffer as they are all doing now. I just would like to say we have to learn something from it. Everybody is thinking only for himself. GOD BLESS PAKISTAN

javedmux September 10, 2009 at 7:28 pm

A poor country like pakistan, how is possible to have more than 50 ministers and everyone wants to have bullet-proof car, when normal pakistani do not have food for a day. They should be shamed. They should buy their own if they want to live. How can they love pakistan when they have all their money in US or in Europe and their childerns are studying in US?

a.gowher September 10, 2009 at 9:29 pm

In Canada onlyPrime Minister gets an offcial car which may be bullet proof, all other Ministers drive their own cars to work with no flgs and no guards. The only time Miniser is allowed to use an official car when he is on official bussiness. Some ministers take a cab to work or even use public transport, they are not afraid of getting shot because they have not robbed the country.

Beware November 8, 2009 at 4:07 am

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah give him blessings and peace, said:

The angels will assemble before Allah and bear witness in favour of the servant for the pure deeds which he has performed for Allah.

Allah will say: “You are the guardians of My servant’s deeds, but I am the Watcher over that which is in his heart. In truth, he did not intend Me by that act; he desired other than Me, so My curse is upon him.”

Let them enjoy the world as much as they can, they know too that they have to face Allah one day. Zardari is enjoying Benazir Bhutto’s Legacy after her dead which he wasn’t able to when she was alive…

Pakistan is going down every year and poverty is killing people and whoever not died by poverty the government is killing them. There is no development work, no jobs, when Pakistan gets some aid from overseas these leaders take it and sending it back out of c.

Peace November 8, 2009 at 1:23 pm

This is to: Zardari & His Team!

If you can’t make Pakistan a peaceful place, lest you should work toward to make it a peaceful place otherwise you should step off and let someone else to take care of it. Have same shame people are being killed every day and you are sleeping with a smile on your face, I wouldn’t. People are hungry and no hope of it ever getting better and whenever Pakistan gets some aid you and other leader take it.

I have a question for you Zardari, where did you get $1.8 billion? Would you mind posting a website that explains for the people of Pakistan, that the money is legitimate and you not stolen from Pakistan…

You may say that we are trying to make Pakistan a peaceful place, no you not, whatever happening in Pakistan regarding this matter is because of USA.

Please read the report below!

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) – A suicide bomber killed an anti-Taliban village mayor and 11 other people in an attack near Pakistan’s volatile city of Peshawar on Sunday, officials said.

The bomber blew himself up as Abdul Malik, mayor of Matni village, was visiting a market crowded with people and goats being sold for the upcoming Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha.

Muslims slaughter goats, cows, buffaloes and camels on Eid al-Adha, which will be celebrated later this month.

“Twelve people have been killed, including a four-year-old child, and 36 people are wounded,” Mohammad Mukhtar, a doctor at Peshawar’s main government hospital, told Reuters. Matni is close to the lawless tribal lands where Islamist militants are active.

Islamist militants have unleashed a campaign of bomb and suicide attacks in Pakistan in recent weeks in retaliation for a major offensive launched by security forces in their main bastion, South Waziristan, on the Afghan border.

The army on Sunday said 20 militants were killed in the latest fighting there, taking their total death toll to 478 since the offensive began.

Forty-four soldiers have been killed in the same period, according to military figures. There was no independent verification of casualties as reporters and other independent observers are not allowed into the war zone.
That assault in South Waziristan’s rugged landscape of barren mountains and hidden ravines, now a center of global Islamist militancy, is being closely watched by the United States and other powers embroiled in Afghanistan.

TALIBAN BACKER-TURNED-ENEMY

To support their overall anti-militant drive, Pakistani authorities have encouraged Pashtun tribes to revive traditional militia to counter rising Islamist militancy.

Malik was once a Taliban supporter, but switched loyalty to the government in recent years and had survived several assassination attempts by the militants.

He was also head of a lashkar, or tribal militia, raised by the villagers against the militants.

“He was pro-government and was deadly against the Taliban,” Peshawar police chief Liaquat Ali Khan said.

Militants have killed numerous pro-government tribal elders over the past few years, and have stepped up attacks recently.

Last month, more than 100 people were killed in a car bombing in Peshawar in the deadliest attack in the country in two years.

More than 150 people were killed in attacks before the army began the assault in South Waziristan.

The army went on the offensive in the ethnic Pashtun region on October 17 aiming to root out Pakistani Taliban militants behind a wave of violence in urban areas.

Soldiers have been advancing into the militant heartland from three directions and had entered their headquarters of Makeen on Friday.

Could it be that President Asif Ali Zardari is finally ready to part with his power? Reports this week state that the president is ready to hand over some of the authority given under Article 58-2b to the parliament – sounds familiar? Perhaps it reminds you of the time Zardari first stated this well over a year ago. Since then Prime Minister Gilani has often spoken about restoring the parliament’s powers and the president himself has gone before the parliament and vowed to give away his powers but maybe he just isn’t good with keeping promises.

In May 2008, President Zardari was harping on a very different note. He was deeply troubled by the power former president Musharraf held and was very vocal on the ‘core issue’ of 58-2b.

Zardari said he was ‘the servant of the people, not the master of the people. There’s no point in me working hard, giving my life, fighting terrorism, asking the parliament and the Pakistani people to make sacrifices if you’re going to be sent home in two years.’
No one has been sent home yet but where are the president’s sacrifices…. Or where is his governance for that matter?

After the retreat on the National Reconciliation Ordinance, Gilani said the government would seek earliest restoration of parliament’s powers and has already asked for recommendations for key constitutional amendments. So does this mean that it’s actually going to happen this time? Or will we see history being repeated, since our country does have a tendency to repeat the same mistakes over and over again? As once written centuries ago, ‘but men are men; the best sometimes forget’

The self-assured grin our president wore has now lost its gleam. Voices have already been raised over how Zardari desperately needs to do some damage control – reiterating a verbal commitment to the Charter of Democracy will no longer be enough to silence the public.

As pointed out in a recent Dawn Editorial, ‘Given the lay of the political land, the only thing that comes to mind that the president could do to improve his position immediately is the very thing he appears deeply reluctant to do: give up his superior powers vis-à-vis the prime minister and parliament.’
Will he? Will he not? And while we are speculating, will he do it with a smile or a creased forehead? As we debate over this, it is also important for me to point out that during the meeting between the president and Aitzaz Ahsan at the presidency on Thursday, the picture that sat framed between the two was not of late Benazir Bhutto, but instead of our very own leader of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam! Could it be the beginning of us finally turning into Jinnah’s Pakistan?! Far-fetched thought, hoping for the restoration of parliament’s powers is more realistic for now.

This for the President of Pakistan Zardari and his Team. You got stop this insanity, this is getting out of control. If you can’t stop then let the army to takeover again, they may stop it.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AFP) – A suicide car bomb ripped through a busy shopping street in Pakistan’s northwest town of Charsadda on Tuesday, killing 15 people and wounding more than 25 others, a police official said.

“We have reports that there are 15 people and between 25 and 30 wounded. The blast took place around 4:15 pm (1115 GMT),” Charsadda district police chief Mohammad Riaz Khan told reporters at the scene.

“This is a busy area. It is usually crowded in the evening time. It took place in the main bazaar.

“There was no security lapse. I had just crossed this area one minute before the blast,” he added.

“Certainly, it was a suicide car explosion,” Khan told reporters

What is wrong with this is country…
